Thoughts On The Writers Guild Strike

The Writers Guild is about to go on strike and the networks shamelessly announced that this would immediately affect the evening talk shows and daytime soap operas by forcing re-runs to be substituted for their usual fare. There was not a hint of embarrassment in this announcement. Is it then admitted that we are left with television notables who cannot even carry on quasi-coherent conversation and actors who cannot improvise the subnormal discourse with other actors intended for the IQ challenged viewers addicted to TV’s daily inanities.
Ghost writers have become a recognized occupation beginning with our Presidents down to our comedian (which, in some cases, might be the same).
The role of Ghost Writers first became memorialized in our political culture with FDR. He utilized, among others, the services of Sam Rosenmund, a New York Judge, who Roosevelt brought with him when he moved from Governor to President. But Roosevelt heavily edited the speeches written for him thereby molding it to his personality. His “Day of Infamy Speech” – indeed that very phrase – was basically his alone.
As time passed, the creative role of the President in writing his speeches became less and less, finally arriving at the point where he basically became an announcer. Not only was it generally acknowledged Peggy Noonan was the author of Reagan’s Pont du Hoc speech but she wrote a book about it, explaining in exquisite detail how she crafted the speech. Bottom line: Reagan, the great communicator, was basically an announcer. Can anyone imagine Lincoln hiring a speech writer to write the Gettysburg Address? From there it goes downhill. Mere mortals who have a ghost write a book for them, usually have the decency to put “as told to,” or “with” etc. under the author’s name. But not politicians. Hillary Clinton’s best seller “It Takes A Village,” did not list any other writer except herself even though it was generally acknowledged that it was ghost written. And, of course, the joke was that Kennedys’ “Profiles In Courage,” was the first book written by a ghost writer to win a Pulitzer Prize.
Now, can anybody imagine George Carlin or Jackie Mason not being able to carry on a conversation without somebody holding up cue cards?
Maybe the strike is a good thing. At least the public will discover that the Emperor has no clothes. Lord knows, they might even be forced to buy a book written by its real author.

The Democrats along with the help of the mainstream, democrat controlled press of this country are down playing Senator Fred Thompson with every chance they get. They know he’s a real threat to them winning in ’08. Everytime Fred Thompson does something that could help him win the primary, they bury it in a second. Anything that could persuade primary voters that he is the best chance to win in ’08 is replaced by their “broken record” mantra about him being lackluster and lazy. He is the only candidate they don’t have any dirt on. Fred Thompson’s position on every issue is solid, and he has never flip-flopped on his convictions. Hillary, who has no convictions of any kind, knows she will have trouble beating him.
Fred Thompson scares the life out of the Democrats, but they will do their best, along with a little help of their friends, the mainstream press, to make you totally unaware of it so you’ll vote for someone they can beat.

My Night With Bill Clinton
I live near Carnegie Hall basically because if I open the window, sometimes I can hear the music…and if I can’t hear the music, it certainly beats living near a garbage dump. On the other hand, maybe I do live near a garbage dump. The other night I tried to come back to my apartment after an evening of rivalry (basically borscht and blintzes), and found the way to my apartment blocked, and dozens of policemen and police cars in the street.
Concerned that there may have been a natural disaster, I inquired of the policemen. It turned out that there was a disaster, but the disaster’s name was Bill Clinton. He was speaking at Carnegie Hall, and because of this, the street was closed off, police cars were all around too, etc. I told them I am going to my apartment, and they could arrest me if they like, secure in the knowledge that, at least as far as I knew, there was no crime called “Violating the Clinton Statute.” So I went happily to my apartment unarrested. Now, the unworthy thought occurs to me that if a semi-crook like Clinton, who was disbarred (too big a liar to be a lawyer), impeached, alleged to have raped a woman, perjured himself, “sold” pardons, and even went off with some of the White House silver, gets to have a street closed off, then John Gotti had the right to have had the whole city closed down for him, and all he ended up with is being locked up in a room with no girls.
Several days have now passed since Clinton’s exit from Carnegie Hall, and now, thankfully, I can open the windows again.

Jackie Mason Vlog 60 Much Ado About Nothing
Some African Americans were outraged that McCain, Giuliani, Thompson, and Romney didn’t show up in last week’s Debate at historically black Morgan State University in Maryland, saying that the snub meant that they do not care about Black voters. How can this be when the current President has done more for minorities than any President since Johnson? Also people forget that this debate was for the GOP nomination. With only 7% of registered Black voters registered as Republican, that isn’t really a voting block that can put you on the ticket. Republicans have been snubbed by African Americans for years. So even if it was really a scheduling conflict, there is nothing wrong with these men making better use of their time.

Now, 13 years later, Hillary Clinton is again trying to promote a health care plan and OJ again is being chased. Some things never change. I think O.J. should run for President, and Hillary should get arrested.

I may not be able to pronounce his name, but I do know a schmuck when I see one. Everyone was in an uproar that Ahmadinejad was invited to speak at Columbia University. The real travesty is that this man was invited to speak before the entire world, in our country.
Ahmadinejad speaking at Columbia is just meaningless symbolism. Really, Hitler has been dead for 60 years now, and in every University, in any given classroom, he is being studied and his speeches are heard. Ahmadinejad wouldn’t even be speaking at Columbia in the first place, had it not been for him being at the U.N. This man (for a lack of a better term) can threaten us, support genocide, deny one of the worst tragedies to beset man kind, and provide weapons and aid to our enemies, and we let him come to our country so he can threaten us again! The U.N. gives this turkey legitimacy, and meanwhile our daftness allows us to look past this, the real problem, and instead be enraged that he’s speaking in front of 600 ivy leaguers. When will we wake-up and realize the U.N. is a dangerous threat to World peace, not a solution for it.

Anti-Semitism an Incurable Disease
Why is anti-Semitism so popular and pleasurable as a persistent behavior pattern all over the world? People who care about the fate of the Jews are always searching for subtle, indefinable reasons to explain the intensity of anti- Jewish hostility and hate. The simple truth is that the answer is far from mysterious.
As a matter of fact, the answer is so obvious that you'd have to brainless not to see it. Everyone knows that whatever the crime committed against any Jew, the only price you'll pay will be the price of the ride to the crime scene and back. Instead of blaming the criminals, the Jews will get involved in an orgy of self-blame and guilt. And after blaming themselves, they'll start blaming each other. Somebody will be screaming, "It's your own fault! Why would you be walking in front of a Muslim mosque at 2 am," and the other one will argue "Why would I think they would recognize that I am Jewish," and another voice yells, "at least you could've been smart enough to wear sneakers!" Then some body says, "Let's report this to the police," while somebody else is saying, "Are you Crazy? What if they find out we reported it? Do you want to get us all killed? Right now they don't know who we are. Let's just get out of the neighborhood!"
It's because anti-Semites are aware that these are the typical reactions of the Jews to any violence committed against them, that they feel free to attack any Jew whenever they please. Is it any accident that all over England you hear of a stream of attacks against Jews, but you never hear any attacks against Muslims? (I know that even right now, you the reader, are trembling in fear of what I might write about the Muslims)
Is it any accident that British MP Mrs. Clare Short in the House of Commons attacked the Jews as vicious racists when their only crime, which she could think of, is that the Jews still exist, which she considers an offence to human decency? What right do they have to try to live in peace with the Arabs and constantly thwart every attempt of the Palestinian suicide bombers to annihilate their whole population? She claimed that the Jews practice an even more egregious form of apartheid than what existed in South Africa. Does she call it apartheid, when every Arab has equal access in every school, to every job, every health-care service, and every unemployment benefit? Currently, they even hold office in the Israeli parliament and every other branch of the Israeli government. Is she so ignorant that she doesn't know that none of these opportunities would be granted to any Jew living in an Arab nation? Besides, how would a Jew be able to achieve any of these same opportunities when in most cases, it wouldn't even be safe for a Jew to live there? But Mrs. Short, as anti-Semites all over the world know, you never suffer any consequences by attacking Jews. If anti-Semites really thought that Jews could be a menace of any kind, they would cower in fear as they now do to the Muslims. When was the last time that an Englishman made a hateful speech against Muslims? People are so fearful of Muslims, that they're even afraid to say “hello” without apologizing? English people are now begging forgiveness from Muslims for things they don't even remembering doing. Unlike the Jews of England, who spend all their time pleading just to be accepted in that country, the Muslims spend much of the time making demands and warning the people that they better be careful to respect them, be concerned how loud they talk to them, and not to criticize them. You also dare not paint the wrong cartoon, sing the wrong song, say the wrong thing, look the wrong way, or even laugh without an explanation. The Jews will never survive if they don't learn a great lesson from the Muslims who execute their power. Isn't it amazing that after committing so many acts of violence all over the world, not only are the Muslims not suffering for it, but actually the reverse has happened? They are the ones being treasured, respected, and venerated while every one is bowing to them in cowardly fear of the next possible attack. The Jews merely have to exist in order to generate ant-Semitism. Anti-Semites hated the Jews when they had nothing, and now they hate the Jews because of the claim that they have everything. No matter what the reason and even if it can't be called a reason, it becomes reason enough to hate a Jew.
Nobody in America today would dare attack the blacks with the same kind of fearlessness that they do to the Jews. Because if they did, in ten minutes you'd be facing marches, courtroom subpoenas, blocked streets, broken windows, millions in fines and an array of new taxes to pay for more school lunches and whole construction sites for new condominiums. White America is so desperate to pay any price to protect their safety, that they now offer the blacks gifts of every kind. First they were offered welfare payments even if they were able bodied workers and then they were presented with food stamps for staying home. Americans then invented "affirmative action" to give blacks, among many things, the advantage of college admission with 10 points less than failing scores. White America is so guilt ridden because of their history of discrimination against blacks, that they are gladly accepting a black candidate for president, whose level of experience wouldn't even qualify him to be a second tier lawyer in a third rate law firm if he was white.
If this world had the same fear of the Jews that they have of the Muslims or the blacks, the attacks on the Jews would never have existed. People never feel threatened when attacking a Jew because he's little guy with glasses carrying a brief case, and in case of an attack, he won't pull out a gun, he'll take out a fountain pen. He would not be ready to shoot the attacker; he'll be busy looking for a piece of paper to write his name down. The attacker always knows that when his victim is a Jew, he will not get hit or hurt. The Jew won't fight. He will cry, beg, scream or run. The attacker knows he can't lose life or limb because the victim can't fight; he's only preparing to sue. Now this describes the Jews outside of Israel. If the Jews in the Diaspora continue to follow this pattern of traditional helplessness, instead of behaving in accordance to the new pattern of behavior of the Israelis, who are ready to fight and survive at any price, they will be doomed to be hounded by anti-Semitism for the rest of their lives. This how they must behave even if it infuriates this yenta, the right honorable Mrs. Clare Short.

Vlog 54 Dems Fear Petraeus More Than Bin Laden
With Gen. David Petraeus’s report coming out soon and Bin Laden’s tape Just coming out, whose message do the Democrats fear more?
Hillary Clinton recently said that another Terrorist attack would only help the Republicans, but success in Iraq makes them quake in their boots. Petraeus months ago was touted by the Democrats as the best option for command in Iraq. If he can’t do the job, no one can! And now this same man, according to the Democratic leadership who unanimously confirmed him, can’t be trusted and will no doubt skew his report in the Presidents favor. Why are the Dems changing their opinion of the General you ask? Because months ago they counted on him to lose and now their worst fear may becoming true. G-d Bless America indeed! With “Leaders” like the ones we have in Congress right now, we need all the help we can get.

The Democrats have proven themselves to be more reprobate and treasonous than even I could have predicted in my last vlog. They treated General Petraeus, this American hero who serves his country bravely, like a pig to slaughter. They never intended to hear good news from him. This was a set-up all along. A cold calculated plan they maneuvered months ago to take whatever the report was and skew it to their agenda. Hillary Clinton mentioned to believe the General’s report you must “…suspend your disbelief.” Well I’m in absolute disbelief how treacherous and treasonous this party has become.

Thoughts On E-mail
People used to say, “Do right and fear no man; don’t right and fear no woman.” And now e-mails have supplanted old fashioned snail mail, but yet, no such caution seems to be involved. It seems that people feel that when they sit in front of their computer alone at night and type out all sorts of nonsense, somehow they are removed from responsibility for their missiles.
Currently, the Governor of New York appears, perhaps rightfully, perhaps wrongly, disinclined to release his e-mails that may be part of the scandal du jour, and, the Governor of New Jersey appears to be in trouble because of e-mails concerning his girlfriend, which he now, pursuant to a court order, has to turn over. All of this is quite an apart and aside from the fact that any divorce lawyer will tell you about half of the people who come into their offices have a briefcase full of e-mails sent or received by a formerly believed-to-be-faithful spouse. Various laws have been passed, such as one in New York, making it illegal to look at somebody else’s e-mail, but that doesn’t seem to deter jealous spouses. They apparently operate under the proposition that if the computer is in their home, it is open season on whatever’s in it.
Best advice: don’t send e-mails of a personal nature unless you have no problem with your spouse – and eventually a judge – reading them.

The experts are claiming that because Fred Thompson joined the campaign too late, that it will hurt him. One of the first candidates to officially announce his bid for president was Sen. Brownback. What has joining the campaign early done for him? Here’s my advice to you… stop listening to the pundits. They can’t tell you who will be president better than my sister-in-law from Pittsburg can.

GLOBAL WARMING
Obviously, anybody this side of a lunatic asylum would not suggest that all the poisons, automobile omissions, factory smoke, and cow flatulations that go into the atmosphere could be doing any of us any good. Of course, the cow flatulation problem could easily be resolved by mixing substantial amounts of Gas-X in with the hay. But there is apparently a substantial amount of scientific authority (ranging from the scientists at NASA, the Brookhaven Laboratory, and various universities) that cannot merely be ascribed to payments from financially invested corporations suggesting that global warming is more hype than reality. But one thing should be plain to even non-scientific types, and that is, simple arithmetic.
In 2003, there was a monumental heat wave across Europe killing approximately 35,000 people – 2,000 in the U.K. alone. This is an awful and painful statistic. But worse is the fact that many more people die from the cold each winter. In England alone, approximately 25,000 people usually die each year from the cold. In Europe, over the same period that approximately 200,000 people died from heat, approximately 1.5 million Europeans died from the cold. Also, probably because of expanding use of air conditioners, the death rate from heat is continually being reduced.
Logically, the same global warming, whether one believes it is something we cause, or it is just one of those ebbs and flows that happen in the history of the world, at the same time saves many more lives by reducing the greater number of people who would otherwise die from the cold winters. The arithmetic, though cruel and unfair, is simple, and suggests we need more research, and the fact that we should not facilely accept the fact that global warming is a people-created killer – or even is an unnatural phenomenon

In this country we still have all these rigid moral laws, dictating "Decency" on broadcast waves. You can't say this, you can't show that, etc. But tell me what's so decent about a commercial for erectile dysfunction, herpes medicine that allows you to be promiscuous without guilt, or curing diarrhea? Every other ad on TV or radio is absolutely disgusting. Where is the FCC on this? Fine Howard Stern $1,000,000 for saying the "F" word, give The Sopranos an Emmy. What the h*** is decent anymore?

Jackie Mason "Political Correctness"
What I’m telling you is nothing new. I may not be the first to talk about it, and I certainly hope I’m not the last. But for all the complaints about political correctness you hear from mainstream sources, these sources still promote this sick practice even more today, then ever before.
When the Imas story was all you heard about for weeks, you heard condemnations all the time that what he said was disgusting and horrible, but not everybody thought he should’ve been fired. Even those like Hannity, and myself, who always disagreed with him, and didn’t care about him one bit, were outrages that he was fired from his job. Now, months after the fact, one of the woman from the Rutgers team is suing Imas on the grounds that she’ll always be labeled a “Ho” by potential suitors and employees throughout her life. “Look honey, nobody knew who you were until you publicized yourself in the civil suit.” Because this young woman is a “victim” of Imas’s words, no one is brave enough to call her out as the greedy person she is, to capitalize on this for a pay day. That, if there is any fairness in the world, should keep suitors and prospective employees away.
And today, as we try to stop Muslim extremism and terrorists, those words too are swiftly being removed from sight and sound. Illegal Immigrants, a PC term itself when it was first created (as opposed to refugee, displaced person, W.O.P. which stood for “With Out Papers” before it became a derogatory term specifically aimed at Italian Americans, etc.), is being replaced by “migrant worker”. I have two that are much better in my opinion, “Border Challenged” or “Uninvited Guest”.

Jackie Mason "John Edwards And Why The Press Stinks"
John Edwards should thank G-d that this country’s sycophantic press is easy on him and his fellow democrats. His hypocrisy and double speak would’ve got him buried a long time ago if he had been a conservative.
Edwards, the describer of Two Americas, invested in a hedge fund that took advantage of Hurricane Katrina victims. He told his fellow candidates to give up all money from News Corp, yet took money from one of their subsidiaries, Harper Collins, and spewed a buch of double speak when confronted about that. Forget about how rich he is and all the extravagance he has, while saying he’s a “champion for the poor”. That just shows what a plain hypocrite he is. Now he’s an out and out crook, and where is the media? Where is the outrage? A better question is where is democracy? A “one party”, sycophantic press and a Democratic Party hell bent on promoting an agenda, partners in the destruction of democracy.

Jackie Mason "Karl Rove; The Most Innocent Criminal"
What did Karl Rove do to deserve so much hate from the left? How did this Intelligent, humble, easy going’ guy from Texas become one of the most hated men in America?
The only crime that Karl Rove committed, at least the definition of the word crime on the left, is that he helped Bush win, not only once, but twice. Excuse me; he helped steal the election for Bush, not once, but twice. He was the master of the Cabal in 2002 to steal back the Senate and was probably behind every other Bad thing Bush did, or accused of, from orchestrating 9/11 to outing agent 99, Valerie Plame. To liberals, there is no actual crime this man could’ve committed, that equals getting Bush elected. You ask a liberal what crime Rove committed, they answer, “Oh like you don’t know… you know… whatever it was… it was bad… he stole the election… NO WAR FOR OIL!”

Jackie Mason "It’s The Sub-Prime Mortgages Stupid!"
How can we say the economy is bad today? The anti-Bush crowd just hates to admit that our economy is better than ever. With the recent market volatility, they now have there reason that Bush’s economy is in the toilet. Well, its Sub-Prime mortgages stupid, not the economy that’s in trouble.
Now the left tells us, “You see! We told you the economy under Bush stinks”. The recent market volatility is because of these sub-prime mortgages. All the experts say that these mortgages only make up 2% of all the mortgages, and mortgages themselves, only make up 12 % of the economy. Now the democrats are attacking Bush for not doing anything to help people who can’t pay their mortgages. Meanwhile, they’re promising that if they were in power they would bail these people out. To me, it is the height of depravity to prey on dumb people by promising them thing they could never give them. Why is it the government’s job to bail these people out? It all sounds good to say, but when will this country understand, that the government gets its money from the people, including those who can’t pay their mortgages.

Jackie Mason "Catching Technicalities Instead Of Crooks"
Why has legal and law enforcement system in this country, become more obsessed with catching people on technicalities, than catching people who commit actual crimes. Border agents, Ignacio Ramos and Jose Campeon, are sentenced to 12 years and jail, and not only does the drug dealer they shot trying to keep him from coming into this country get immunity from prosecution, he gets brought back to testify against the agents. And on another front, Critics of President Bush want to make absolutely sure, that Bush and the government are doing nothing to violate the civil liberties of terrorists and terror suspects, instead of trying to stop these villains. G-d forbid, we listen on a phone call or two of a terrorist. What the hell is wrong with us?

HILLARY CLINTON AND WOMEN’S RIGHTS – AN OXYMORON?

Let’s get something straight right at the beginning! We are not in the business of making any moral judgments on the former President Clinton. The people who claim that his adultery prevented him from devoting himself completely to the Presidency are simply wrong. It took him twenty minutes to commit adultery and he had the rest of the day to be President. We do, however, have and had serious concerns because, when he turned the White House into a Holiday Inn, he was only a temporary tenant basically utilizing our real estate for which we all paid. His long history of allegedly pressing for unwanted sex, hitting on women, seduction, cheating - the recipients of his charms running the spectrum extending from trailer park to society women, etc. - should be his own business, the business of the law itself, his conscience (as diminished as it may be), his Minister or Rabbi and the women involved, except when, one way or another, he utilized the high public office to which the citizens elected him to further his obnoxious goals. Unfortunately this seemed to be the case most of the time. It is hard to imagine that if he were not President, and just another Arkansas clod-kicker, he would be able to hit so many home runs in this area of his special endeavor.
Getting to the point! If Hillary really did not know what was going on, while everybody else at the White House, from the fellow at the gate, to the stewards, to the Secret Service, to the porters, etc., knew that the girls were standing in line outside the Oval Office taking a number and waiting for their turn, she does not have enough brains to be President. How would she be able t o figure out what was going on in the rest of the world, when she could not figure out what was happening downstairs in her own home. Ms. Clinton, by knowing and doing nothing – even after the Monica Lewinsky affair monopolized the media - other than walking a few feet away from him with a glum face as they went to the helicopter, she sent a terrible message to wives: this is the way to deal with a husband who cheats, insults, and publicly embarrasses a wife. Further, by publicly putting up with his on-going nonsense, she basically enabled her husband to continue to degrade, demean and abuse women.
What we find to be particularly obnoxious is that she touts herself as being in front of the parade, a banner-waiver for women when, in fact, she should be at the end sweeping away the garbage.

Jackie Mason "Making Muslims Happy"
Why do we bend over backwards to accommodate the Muslims? We give them their foot baths at Universities, we give them special rooms to pray at the airports, and we in some towns announce their prayer calls over loud speakers. We do this because we’re afraid, if we don’t, they’ll blow up a building. What other reason is there? In this country, you can’t say the word Christmas in any secular environment, yet we are allowing Sharia law to permeate every secular facet of society.

Jackie Mason “No Surprise The Terrorists Are Doctors”
Why are we surprised to find most terrorists are highly educated from affluent upbringings? It is dangerous to hold on to myth that terrorists are impoverished people, made that way by the Western, non-Islamic world.

Bill Clinton, who essentially committed the same crime as Scooter Libby, but served no Jail time, criticizes Bush for commuting Libby’s Sentence. Immigration: My Simple Solution

I have a simple solution to the immigration debate. But first, why do we talk about the immigration problem? We have an immigration problem when people fight to get out of a country, not to get into a country. What we have here is something between “a condition” like when your mother-in-law has bursitis, and a “situation” like when a low-life neighbor keeps parking in your driveway.
Here is our three-part solution:
1. Registration: The most powerful weapon police have is “intelligence” in the military sense. When a cop stops you for a traffic violation, in two minutes he can find out if you are wanted for anything from spiting on the sidewalk to murder. Similarly, if a crime has been committed in a neighborhood, the police can immediately do a computer search and obtain records of other similar crimes in the neighborhood helping them to identify suspects.
What we need to do is much the same: develop a central complete registry of all aliens in America – legal and illegal. As to what we do with the illegals who step up to the plate and register, see #3. Those that don’t register will eventually either be questioned for something else, perhaps trying to get a job or otherwise interface with the institutions of our country. Prospective employers or other agencies should be required to report unregistered aliens immediately. If an employer does not do so, he should be charged with a crime. An immigrant not having the proper card should be immediately deported and never be permitted to reenter the country. Eventually all of the illegals will either be sent to jail or, over the course of time, die.
2. Fences: The idea we cannot build a suitable fence or have secure borders is ridiculous. We have had secure borders in Germany, North and South Korea, Viet Nam, etc. Dictators throughout history have been able to build fences to keep the people in or out. The Great Wall of China was 1,500 miles long, built in the 3d cent. B.C., and is still around.
In this regard, we have an additional simple solution. Just give anybody who will live on the border two free acres of land. Thousands of people will happily live there and keep an eye on things, pick up the phone if they see anybody coming from Mexico, and offer them coffee and cake until the border patrol arrives. Of course, the Miami Beach condominium market may decline, but it’s a fair tradeoff.
3. Draft Boards: For those immigrants who register but are not here legally, we should establish local community boards, similar to the local drafts boards we had in World War II. These would be comprised of small groups of dedicated citizens who would devote their time to hear cases involving the illegal aliens who have registered, on a case by case basis. In that way, local community standards, which vary from place to place in the country, would be applied. Only after this process is completed would the aliens be permitted to test adverse decisions through the judicial system.
What we don’t want to be is a country that denies health care to a child or adult, denies education or any other benefits that, on a human level, a functioning humane democracy should provide. Without immigrants, we would have no atomic age, no computers, no lasers, no microchips (Einstein, Teller, Fermi, etc.). Also, without Dr. Salk, we would now be in the midst of a polio epidemic.
Too often the people who want to crack down on immigrants are like members of a country club who, once admitted, don’t want to let in anybody else. It should be suggested to them that without immigrants we would not even have an America.

Kill Jews, get your own country.

How does the value of an Israeli life become so cheap, that we accept the idea that we have to sacrifice hundreds of lives on a yearly basis in order to exist in the state of Israel?Not many years ago, when one Israeli life was innocently lost, Israelis were shocked and there was a sudden hush in the atmosphere and wonderment in our voices. Why is it that now we think of it as an unavoidable sacrifice, as if there are certain questions for which there are just no answers? Why was the loss of an Israeli life so inconceivable before and so acceptable now?Since the Arabs could not tolerate the presence of Jews in their neighborhood they tried to destroy us whenever they could put an army together. Every time they lost a war they couldn't understand it, and they couldn't believe that they wouldn't win the next war.Like the Americans in Vietnam and the Russians in Afghanistan, the Arabs possessed such a huge advantage of resources, population and power that they couldn't accept the experience of defeat by the tiny state of Israel. As we were winning more and more victories we were paying a bigger price and getting more and more tired of victories in the battlefield at the cost of losing so many of our young Israeli lives. We became so weary and fearful of the next possible war, that we blinded ourselves into believing all the fraudulent gestures of the Arabs about making peace.We never realized the extent of our self-delusion until Prime Minister Barak offered the Arabs 98% of what they demanded and we were answered with an avalanche of suicide bombers taking more Israeli lives than ever before.Since then, we have become involved in futile efforts to solve the problem by retaliating more decisively than ever before, which has served as a great release from our frustrations, but it has always left us helpless again from the next attack from more and more suicide bombers. Somehow we have become helpless in the face of death as if there were no possible solution to this problem.For the first time in fifty years we have again become a lost, confused, helpless and paralyzed people. Somehow we have resigned ourselves to suffer the constant killing of our people, like another but slower Holocaust. We have paralyzed ourselves by our sickening irrational fear of "World Opinion," which is why we find it impossible to face one simple fact. We will never win this war unless we immediately threaten to drive every Arab out of Israel if the killing doesn't stop.It is no accident that the Arabs are not concerned with public opinion while killing our people, but we are terrified of public opinion before we dismiss them from our country. Somehow, we have become intimidated into believing that we are obligated to give them a place to live, and we have no right to throw them out just because they are killing our people.It is about time we realize that public opinion is nothing but publicly expressed anti-Semitism and appeasing public opinion makes as much sense as Chamberlain's appeasement of Adolf Hitler. Jews dying in Israel disturbs them as much as watching your neighbor killing a cockroach, even if it doesn't fill you with pleasure you certainly don't feel remorse about it. That is why when suicide bombers kill hundreds of Jews not a word of protest is ever heard, but when we try to defend ourselves by retaliating against our killers the U.N. immediately is called in an emergency session to protect our assassins.We are brain-dead if we accept the idea that we have to guess which Arab is our next killer. We are not obligated to victimize ourselves by letting the Arabs play Russian roulette with Jewish lives. Israelis are constantly asked the same obnoxious question " How can you throw the Arabs out, where would they go?" The answer is if they don't care whom they kill, why are we obligated to care where they go?If a gang of killers lived across the street, would you allow them to keep throwing bombs through your window until you can find them another apartment? Are we morally obligated to become a real estate agent for every Arab suicide bomber? We are not obligated to accept a new, slower Holocaust as the inevitable fate of our people. Jordan did not take a poll of world opinion and neither did Kuwait before they routed the Palestinians out of their countries.America did not wait for public opinion to take whatever action was necessary to protect their country, and there is no reason why we should be afraid to do what is necessary to protect the state of Israel.

Democrats: Soiled Diapers And A Spoiled Majority
Like a baby's dirty diaper, hypocrisy and duplicity soils the Democratic majority in Congress, and like the diaper, the closer you get to it, the worse it smells.
In the vote on the non-binding resolution to oppose President Bush's request for a troop surge in Iraq, the overwhelming majority of the Democrats — both in the House and the Senate — voted time after time to fund the war in Iraq. Imagine if you opened a restaurant and had the group of financial backers who enabled you to open the restaurant blame you for opening the business in the first place! Or imagine if someone bought the gas for your car and then they blamed you for trying to drive someplace in the car! The Democrats were Bush's partners in this war from the very beginning, and yet now blame him for the results of the war. Why doesn't Bush blame them for funding the war?
So now, they had their chance to put the final nail in the war’s coffin, and what did they do? They loaded the bill with pork and set an expiration date on the war. Knowing full well that the bill would be “Dead on Arrival” on the Presidents desk. The extra pork alone is proof positive, of their duplicitous nature. Secure their success in the next election, while pretending to be for the troops.
As for the Pull-out date, even they knew this would be outright treasonous, giving our enemies a strategic advantage of holding out until “such and such” date. Then, Harry Reed’s prophecy of us losing the war would be self fulfilled.
So after the House passed the last funding bill with no Pull-out date, why then did they draft the bill in the first place? Why do they howl all day about how we need to end the war, and bring our troops home?
The Democrats have no conscience or moral purpose whatsoever. They are worse than mere hypocrites. They are accessories to the murder of American troops. By not approving of a mission that they have funded all along, they are revealed for what they really are — a group of cowards whose actions are demoralizing the troops and encouraging our enemies to kill more American soldiers. The fact that they are harming our troops' morale by playing into the hands of the enemy means nothing to these Democrats. The Democrats simply don't have the guts to vote to cut off the funding for the war, so they came up with this absurd resolution simply to humiliate George Bush.
It is as if someone wants to kill himself and a fellow on the other side of town pays for the gun and the bullets — and they he says it's someone else's fault the guy committed suicide.
The Democrats are more concerned with their political futures than anything else. They are emboldening the enemy by saying this is a worthless war. In effect, their actions will only result in the loss of more of our troops.
Let's consider the Congressional hearings confirming General David Petraeus as the top American ground commander in Iraq, and Petraeus argued vehemently for the troop surge, and the Democrats all voted for him and wished him the best of luck and success in his mission. Two weeks later say the mission is a total failure and a mistake, with no planning or ultimate objectives. Imagine if you had a fighter and you know that Mike Tyson will knock him out in the first round, but you go out and hire the best trainer, and wish him "Best of Luck" and tell him where to send the body.
What success do they wish Petraeus? If they think the mission is stupid, why do they need a brilliant man? Why do they want to watch something flop successfully? Why do they need a great general at all — why do they need the best man, if he will serve no purpose? Why should a man get paid for nothing? If the Democrats approve sending him on a worthless mission, then they are complicit in planning the murder of innocent people. If they had the courage of their convictions, they would have cancelled the mission. Why approve Petraeus in the first place?

Beatification Befits Saint Hillary

Now that there is a new Pope, bringing with him the possibilities of naming new saints, there appears to be a movement of biblical proportions afoot for the beatification of Hillary Clinton. Gone are the memories of disappearing files, ducking Grand Juries, and just being beyond the reach of prosecutors. "They couldn't lay a finger on her" — a phrase whose only province used to be in grade-B Warner Brothers gangster movies — became her motto when she occupied the Clinton White House. Gone and forgotten is probably the only real miracle she performed, which was changing $1,000 into $100,000 in ten months ($6,300 of which was earned overnight). Even the Mafia could not get a better return on its money. However, in what must be one of the most interesting miracles since the fishes and loaves, she has transmuted herself into a figure of faith, principle, and piety. Like Saul on the road to Tarsus, who had seen the light of his Lord, she has transformed herself. Anna Quindlen, writing in Newsweek magazine, where her full page column occupies the prime-space last page of the magazine, pontificates:
...we [Hillary and she] talked about faith, about how both of us believed our religion had led us toward a heightened interest in various social-reform issues.That's the real Hillary Rodham Clinton. A lifelong Methodist...
If that was the real Hillary Clinton, then she did a pretty good job of hiding it the last ten years. Now that there is a new Pope, bringing with him the possibilities of naming new saints, there appears to be a movement of biblical proportions afoot for the beatification of Hillary Clinton. Gone are the memories of disappearing files, ducking Grand Juries, and just being beyond the reach of prosecutors. "They couldn't lay a finger on her" — a phrase whose only province used to be in grade-B Warner Brothers gangster movies — became her motto when she occupied the Clinton White House. Gone and forgotten is probably the only real miracle she performed, which was changing $1,000 into $100,000 in ten months ($6,300 of which was earned overnight). Even the Mafia could not get a better return on its money. However, in what must be one of the most interesting miracles since the fishes and loaves, she has transmuted herself into a figure of faith, principle, and piety. Like Saul on the road to Tarsus, who had seen the light of his Lord, she has transformed herself. Anna Quindlen, writing in Newsweek magazine, where her full page column occupies the prime-space last page of the magazine, pontificates:
...we [Hillary and she] talked about faith, about how both of us believed our religion had led us toward a heightened interest in various social-reform issues.That's the real Hillary Rodham Clinton. A lifelong Methodist...

The art of effective communication by words is dying the death of a dog

Because we both make a living by words we are very sensitive about them and more importantly, in our respective occupations, with better or worse results, we utilize them as a mechanism to communicate our thoughts. Sadly, from what we observe, the art of effective communication by words is dying the death of a dog.
People throw words around like indescribably: indescribably delicious, indescribably beautiful, etc. If something is indescribable, how does putting the word indescribable before the thing it is supposed to describe in fact describe or even help in describing that thing?
Before we receive e e-mails (excessive e-mails) we know that indescribably is an adverb. However, putting a respectable name on word that does not make sense, makes no sense, no more than putting on a Chanel dress on a streetwalker changes her profession.
Similarly, people also toss around the word fabulous. How was the girl? She was a fabulous girl. The chopped liver? It was fabulous. How can you use the same word to describe a girl and chopped liver — unless it's some of the girls we know?
Then we get words that really mean the exact opposite of what they say. When a girl says the boy she went out with is hot, she really means he is cool. When another girl is asked to describe the guy who just picked her up, the girl might say, "He is really Bad." Usually this is pronounced BAAAD, and of course she means he is real good.
How about, "The rain kept up for an hour"? If it kept up, it never would have come down. When somebody says "kept up," they mean down, unless, of course, they live in Australia, which is down from us, on the other side of the world, so when we are up, they are down. When it rains on them, in that case, we would be correct if we say the "the rain kept up," because their up is our down. However, if you stand on your head in New York, then in that situation up would then still be down. We trust that we clarified this matter.
The last place we expect to hear strings of words that are self-contradictory or that don't make sense is from the United States Supreme Court. But what did we just hear from it? It says it's legal to have the Ten Commandments outside the courthouse, but illegal to have them inside the courthouse. The unworthy thought occurs to us that to get inside the courthouse you have to walk there from outside, so the same person is walking from a legal environment into an illegal environment, and doing nothing more than putting one foot in front of the other. To make things more clear, the Court also said you have to consider each case on its own merits and its own facts, so theoretically, in certain cases, you could have the Ten Commandments outside the courthouse and it would be illegal, and yet inside the courthouse would be legal. Actually in terms of its own building where the Ten Commandments is inside the courthouse, the Supreme Court said that was legal. But if it were illegal outside, and legal inside the courthouse, people would have to walk on the outside where it is illegal to get to the inside where it is legal. And we didn't even discuss the cases where it is illegal both inside and outside, which seems to us to be a great way to get out of jury duty, or showing up to pay a traffic ticket.
In all this talk of language, we are not even mentioning expressions like "Keep your shirt on," when nobody in the house ever thought of taking it off. Or "Keep your eyes peeled," which we find too painful to contemplate.We like simple stuff — spit on the subway and you're fined $50.00. That we understand!

Al Gore: The gift that keeps giving
When we (Raoul Felder and myself) wrote about Al Gore and in our first book, we intended to leave him behind like a chewed-over pastrami sandwich left on a delicatessen table and move on to other Schmucks in our on-going tour of Schmuckville. But he does not permit us to do so.
We believed Al Gore would be happily retired, adrift in his delusions of inventing the Internet and discovering the Love Canal. We thought, like a punch drunk fighter, he would spent the rest of his days boring people, explaining he wuz robbed by the referee and could've been a champion.
However, leaving his chads behind – and from the look of Gore today, we have an idea of where he stuffed them – he now became the Guru of Global Warming.
Global warming is a highly politicized subject, so inculcated into our collective psyches by the liberal media as a reality that, notwithstanding the fact hundreds of scientists believe it is a merely a cyclical phenomenon that has existed for thousands of years, to even question its existence relegates you to the insanity of a Holocaust denier.
Gore, with no scientific training, assumed the role of the validator and spokesperson for global warming. He even made a movie about it, and in fact won an Academy Award for it.
Suddenly, all of this somehow propelled him into being a potential candidate for president. To prove how serious he was, he started losing weight. We have heard of women who lose weight to get into last summer's bikini, and of old men who also lose weight to stuff themselves into ancient tuxedos, but this is an historic first: joining Weight Watchers to become president.
Now, we are not scientists, but, to us, the winters seem colder not hotter. The carbon dioxide that is supposed to be the villain is actually good, not bad, for trees, which everybody says are good for the planet. In fact, governments all over the world are expending effort and money to preserve the forests and plant new trees. The statistics show that using alternate fuels for automobiles actually costs more (considering government subsidies) and in the long run requires greater overall energy consumption than does gasoline.
Apparently, a great deal of the ozone problem is caused by methane gas, a principal source being the flatulence of cows. It may be more efficient and less costly to buy some Gas-X for the cows than the more sophisticated and costly alternative means suggested.
All of Gore's sputterings might be the proper subject of honest debate, except for one thing. Gore, as we have all now learned, is patently a hypocrite. He lives in a house that in one week, consumes 20 times the yearly energy use of an average home, and he flies around in private planes consuming vast amounts of fossil fuel and spewing enormous quantities of hurtful gasses into the atmosphere. His justification: He purchases carbon credits.
While few in the world can understand exactly what they are, in principle the credits are traded, for a fee, by middlemen, with the extreme offenders of pollution being made to pay money that, in effect, becomes the "credits." These are now placed into an exchange and then sold to other violators – like Gore. All of this does not change the amount of carbon produced one bit, but does produce a profit for the exchange company. Oh yes, did we forget to mention – you guessed it – Gore owns a carbon exchange company.
The proponents of global warming say that in a hundred years, the ocean temperature will rise five degrees and, because of melting icebergs, the Atlantic Ocean will extend into the land an additional nine inches. Just in case, we will definitely sell our Miami Beach condominiums in 90 years. Of course, if Gore will just shut up, the hot air lost may be just enough to save the icebergs.

Islam is a religion of WHAT?
Standing on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, on the afternoon of September 11, 2001, looking west to Manhattan, the fires had turned the horizon a bright orange that rose to great heights painted against a perfect pitiless blue sky.
Observing this terrible beauty, the residents of the neighborhood danced in the streets, laughing, shouting to each other, shaking hands. These people were not what one would suppose to be fanatical or militant Muslims. They were people who had come to these shores from the Middle East, mostly shop keepers, bakers, purveyors of eastern spices, tradesmen, cab drivers and the usual diversity of people found in a New York ethnic neighborhood on a warm fall weekday. They were American citizens however, who were expressing their judgment — joy at the events of that horrible day that forever changed our world and America's place in that world. They were also the followers of Islam: religion of oppression, discrimination, violence, terror, war, superstition, intolerance and prejudice. They were the followers of a religion of hate who, at the very least, if not active participants in the events of that world-changing day, took unashamed pleasure in the violence visited upon those — including their fellow citizens and neighbors — who did not share their beliefs.
The President has said about Islam: ...Islam inspires countless individuals to lead lives of honesty, integrity and morality (12/5/02). A...It's [Islam] a faith based on love, not hate. (9/10/02) "The Islam that we know...teaches the value and the importance of charity, mercy and peace. (11/15/01).
Well, he is the President, and like Tony Blair, probably has to say these sorts of politically-correct things in the belief that they are necessary to be said, because to declare the truth would create a threat to the maintenance of order or, it might provoke an outraged citizenry to retaliate in a vengeful and illegal way, jeopardizing domestic tranquility. We have no such impediment and trust that the truth can only serve to enlighten and not to incite.
Islam exists as it is taught in the Koran and lived by Muhammad. Muhammad, by the way, was hardly an example that one would wish to emulate. He had affairs with maids and slave girls and was also a pedophile (and before we get outraged e-mails on the latter point, here is chapter and verse: the girl's name was Aisha, she was 9 he was 53. He was also involved in the slave trade, assassinations and genocide. But, what the heck, nobody is perfect.)
Let's, as the sportscasters say, go to the record, which, in this case is the Koran.
Kill the disbelievers wherever we find them. (2:191)
Fight and slay the pagans (translation: that's us) seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem. (9:5)
Slay or crucify or cut the hands and feet of the unbelievers...(5:34)
...strike off the heads of the disbelievers...[make a] wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives [for ransom] (947:4)
[treatment of disbelievers]...garments of fire shall be cut and there shall be poured over their heads boiling water whereby whatever is in their bowels and skin shall be dissolved and they will be punished with hooked iron rods (22:19).
The Koran also instructs Muslims to slay or crucify or cut the hands and the feet of the unbelievers (5:34), fight unbelievers until no other religion except Islam remains. (3:85)
Given these basic teachings of Islam there is little reason to be surprised at the beheading of Americans Nick Berg and Paul Johnson.
Of course, not all Muslims participate in violence or even express joy at the perpetration of violence against the West in general, or Americans in particular, just as all Germans in the forties did not believe when they heard their anthem, Deutschland uber alles, that it meant literally that Germany must conquer all other nations. Some Germans embraced a passive longing for Germany to be victorious; some few actually despised fascism, and some, an almost non-existent few acted against it. So it is with Islam and the Muslims. About the best the civilized world can expect is a joyous but passive reaction to the mindless violence.
Empires have come and gone. Rome, Portugal, France, Holland, Germany and even in our time, Great Britain, have seen their moment of world dominance - have seen it flicker, and then, extinguish. And yet, they accepted it as part of the panorama of history, and have moved on. Not so with Islam.
It is not by accident that our enemies call the coalition forces in Iraq the Crusaders. To Islam the war, which they lost centuries ago, continues.
[It is of interest to note that the United States went to war with Muslim powers in 1801. Barbary pirates kidnapped and made slaves of our citizens, demanding tribute for their release. John Adams and Thomas Jefferson asked of the envoy of Tripoli by what right did he make his claim for payment. As reported to Congress by Jefferson, "The Ambassador answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners." ]
The enemy is not really the United States, nor even Israel. The enemy is modernity itself and the forces of change that have made them irrelevant. The West has persevered and they have lost. They are the have-nots, and to the degree that they have the economic power of oil, even this has been denied to them as a society by the corruption of their own despotic rulers. They are the past in a present and future that belongs to the West. There is a chord that joins them with other losers like Lee Harvey Oswald and Lee Boyd Malvo, devoid of any distinction or ability to even control their own lives, who strike out in spasms of hate-filled rage.
Muslims, married to a failed past, offer little hope for integration into modern society. Israel giving them land to which they are not entitled, or the United States not punishing them for criminal acts will not assuage their rage. America must learn it cannot negotiate or reason with people who consider us infidels. It must recognize that the enemy is often among us and all the exposure available to them in Western civilization with its tolerances and respect for individual rights will not affect their seething anger at imagined wrongs, injustices, and illogical sense of entitlement.
Historically, use of strength, swift and certain punishment, and resolve of purpose are all that is left us to effectively deal with their primitive madness. And until we recognize this, there will be many more beheadings and September elevenths.

The President has said about Islam: ...Islam inspires countless individuals to lead lives of honesty, integrity and morality (12/5/02). A...It's [Islam] a faith based on love, not hate. (9/10/02) "The Islam that we know...teaches the value and the importance of charity, mercy and peace. (11/15/01).
Well, he is the President, and like Tony Blair, probably has to say these sorts of politically-correct things in the belief that they are necessary to be said, because to declare the truth would create a threat to the maintenance of order or, it might provoke an outraged citizenry to retaliate in a vengeful and illegal way, jeopardizing domestic tranquility. We have no such impediment and trust that the truth can only serve to enlighten and not to incite.
Islam exists as it is taught in the Koran and lived by Muhammad. Muhammad, by the way, was hardly an example that one would wish to emulate. He had affairs with maids and slave girls and was also a pedophile (and before we get outraged e-mails on the latter point, here is chapter and verse: the girl's name was Aisha, she was 9 he was 53. He was also involved in the slave trade, assassinations and genocide. But, what the heck, nobody is perfect.)
Let's, as the sportscasters say, go to the record, which, in this case is the Koran.
Kill the disbelievers wherever we find them. (2:191)
Fight and slay the pagans (translation: that's us) seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem. (9:5)
Slay or crucify or cut the hands and feet of the unbelievers...(5:34)
...strike off the heads of the disbelievers...[make a] wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives [for ransom] (947:4)
[treatment of disbelievers]...garments of fire shall be cut and there shall be poured over their heads boiling water whereby whatever is in their bowels and skin shall be dissolved and they will be punished with hooked iron rods (22:19).
The Koran also instructs Muslims to slay or crucify or cut the hands and the feet of the unbelievers (5:34), fight unbelievers until no other religion except Islam remains. (3:85)
Given these basic teachings of Islam there is little reason to be surprised at the beheading of Americans Nick Berg and Paul Johnson.
Of course, not all Muslims participate in violence or even express joy at the perpetration of violence against the West in general, or Americans in particular, just as all Germans in the forties did not believe when they heard their anthem, Deutschland uber alles, that it meant literally that Germany must conquer all other nations. Some Germans embraced a passive longing for Germany to be victorious; some few actually despised fascism, and some, an almost non-existent few acted against it. So it is with Islam and the Muslims. About the best the civilized world can expect is a joyous but passive reaction to the mindless violence.
Empires have come and gone. Rome, Portugal, France, Holland, Germany and even in our time, Great Britain, have seen their moment of world dominance - have seen it flicker, and then, extinguish. And yet, they accepted it as part of the panorama of history, and have moved on. Not so with Islam.
It is not by accident that our enemies call the coalition forces in Iraq the Crusaders. To Islam the war, which they lost centuries ago, continues.
[It is of interest to note that the United States went to war with Muslim powers in 1801. Barbary pirates kidnapped and made slaves of our citizens, demanding tribute for their release. John Adams and Thomas Jefferson asked of the envoy of Tripoli by what right did he make his claim for payment. As reported to Congress by Jefferson, "The Ambassador answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners." ]
The enemy is not really the United States, nor even Israel. The enemy is modernity itself and the forces of change that have made them irrelevant. The West has persevered and they have lost. They are the have-nots, and to the degree that they have the economic power of oil, even this has been denied to them as a society by the corruption of their own despotic rulers. They are the past in a present and future that belongs to the West. There is a chord that joins them with other losers like Lee Harvey Oswald and Lee Boyd Malvo, devoid of any distinction or ability to even control their own lives, who strike out in spasms of hate-filled rage.
Muslims, married to a failed past, offer little hope for integration into modern society. Israel giving them land to which they are not entitled, or the United States not punishing them for criminal acts will not assuage their rage. America must learn it cannot negotiate or reason with people who consider us infidels. It must recognize that the enemy is often among us and all the exposure available to them in Western civilization with its tolerances and respect for individual rights will not affect their seething anger at imagined wrongs, injustices, and illogical sense of entitlement.
Historically, use of strength, swift and certain punishment, and resolve of purpose are all that is left us to effectively deal with their primitive madness. And until we recognize this, there will be many more beheadings and September elevenths.
